At Parcom, we are committed to protecting your privacy and providing services that gives you or your company the best internet hosting features available.   Our web site does not collect any specific private information in the form of cookies or via the use of third party web tracking services.  Such practice is very unprofessional in our opinion.  Certain areas that require cookies are the typical areas that require it.  For example, our forum uses it to remember your personal settings, or our ticketing system may use it to remember your last search – but that is all.   Parcom also only asks for billing related information only when you order any of our services.   Our forms use SSL (secure socket layer) on top of an encrypted database engine.   All information a client provides us are kept in strict confidentiality and is only used for customer billing purposes.  In fact our hosting service is one of the few that will not send you any type of bulk mailings.   The only mailings you may receive from us have to do with maintenance, payment receipts, or network updates.   No sales pitches, nothing.  We all receive far too much advertising in all sorts of forms, at Parcom, we do not want to add to this big problem.  If you want information, contact us or visit our web site. It’s simply better for everyone.

All information will never be released to third party companies with the exception of court orders or if we have your permission.   In other words, if a non-Parcom party asks for contact information about a Parcom client, Parcom will not provide any private information.

Details of our policy are as follows:

Not only is your privacy secure with Parcom, but also your billing and credit card information is 100% safe.   We not only meet credit card company guidelines we exceed it.  Both electronically and within our corporate offices.  We do not sell your information to anyone at Parcom because we do not believe that is a good way to do busienss where profit losses are made up by selling to other “affiliates”.   Especially your credit card information as done by many hosting companies today.   We’re one of the last hosting companies that believes in respecting customer privacy versus seeing how much money one can make selling client information to the highest bidder!    We know we lose a lot of money by not selling our customer information to anyone – but we stand by this practice and that is why we exceed our compliance with the credit card companies.  Period.

Cookies

Our site does not use internet cookies to track customers private information on our site.   Any cookies sent to a client may be due to third party links and/or banner ads that are found on some of our web pages.   Parcom assures any visitor that all information gathered by partners once these links are clicked are simple information that are traditionally gathered [i.e. type of web browser, and how you got to their ad (which is through Parcom)].  Cookies that may be used as said above are necessary for keeping simple non-personal type information so you can utilize things like our forum or live chat system.  Nothing more.

Registration Forms

Our site’s registration form requires users to give us contact information (like their name, email, and postal address), financial information (like their bank account or credit card numbers), and demographic information (like their zip code, country name or state).  The information is not used or sold to any third party company.

The customer’s contact information is needed to get in touch with the customer when necessary.

Financial information that is collected is used to check the users’ qualifications for registration, and to bill the user for products and services.

Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site for internal reports.

Forms do NOT cache data at Parcom.   Typically if you find a form caching data here or anywhere else, it is due to your browser or special software that caches form data entries.

Order Forms

Our site uses an order form for customers to request information, products, and services. We collect contact information (like their email address), financial information (like their account or credit card numbers), and demographic information (like their zip code, country name or state).

The customer’s contact information is needed to get in touch with the customer when necessary.

Financial information that is collected is used to check the users’ qualifications for registration, and to bill the user for products and services.

Passwords are all kept with strict confidentiality in mind.   Customer passwords are kept securely on file for emergency purposes only.   Customers may reset their passwords for both mail and server access, however Parcom can reset passwords at our own discretion if an issue dictates staff access into an account.

Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site for internal reports.

At times, signatures may be required (especially if a customer is signing up on behalf of another).  There is no way around this, however, we assure you this necessary procedure is in the best interest of the credit card holder.   The signature will be stored on file in a secure fire proof location which is under strict security monitoring and will not be released to any third party outside of Parcom.
